Rogbico GTK 4400 and 5100
A new unique patented solution is making
bundles out of forest residue. Bundling this voluminous material lowers
costs both in transport as well as processing the material to chips. The
Rogbico machine makes bundles of 1 tonnes each with a diameter of 0.8
meters. It is mounted on a truck chassis and is operated with the
hydraulic power of the truck.
Two different machines are
available, GTK 5100 and GTK 4400. The difference between the machines
is the length of the bundles they produces. The GTK 4400 produces
bundles 4400 mm long; the GTK 5100 bundles are 5100 mm long. Each has
a diameter of about 800 mm.
The Rogbico bundler uses up to 96
tons pressure to compress the bundles and tightens the bundle with
three polyester straps. The bundles weigh around 800 to 1200 kg
(kilogram) depending on moisture content. The machine produces between
17 and 22 bundles per hour depending on the nature of the materials.
With this method the transport cost is considerable reduced compared to
traditional twigs management.
Transport by long-distance truck of 36 bundles per truck is about 32.5 to 35 tons per truck. Chopping/chipping
of the bundles goes considerably faster than existing methods due to
the compressed material. The cost for terminal management is reduced
because different logistics options can be used in the terminal area.
