In three different case studies in eastern Canada, OperMAX has shown how optimization can increase profit margins by millions of dollars through improved decision-making in woodlands operations. OperMAX helps managers produce optimum multi-year and annual operating plans, increasing profitability while respecting operating and market realities.  

All major woodlands decisions (including harvesting, transportation, silviculture, road construction, wood purchases, millyard inventory levels, sales, mill-to-mill wood deliveries) are considered as OperMAX “mines for profits”. Using PORTeL, its geomatics tool, data can be easily imported, spatial modeling undertaken and results displayed as maps for evaluation by managers.
